Backyard Water Park

It's impossible to take the kids (or yourself) to the waterpark everyday. If you don't have a swimming pool, the hot days of summer are barely tolerable. So make your own waterpark in your backyard. It's easy and inexpensive. Combine these suggestions and keep the water flowing. Great idea for summer birthday parties.

Lawn Sprinklers: You may recall running in and out of the lawn sprinkler when you were a kid. There are versions of the lawn sprinkler at every water park. Just pull yours out of the garage, hook it up to the garden hose, put on that swimsuit and get wet!

Water Blasters, Super Soakers and Water Squirters: You can buy water squirters at any Dollar Tree. They are small rubber animals that squirt water and usually come in packs of 4 or more. Water Blasters and Super Soakers can be found at any discount store like Walmart or Target. They are great ways to cool off.

Water Balloons: A blast from the past, water balloons are really cheap. Buy a bag of balloons, fill them with water and start tossing!

Slip and Slides: Another from water attraction from childhood, Slip and Slides are plastic slides that hook up to your garden hose and keep kids busy and wet all day.

Wading Pools: These are what they imply, small, inexpensive inflatable pools that are perfect for wading and splashing. Dogs love it too!
